The Hunt

We celebrate the Easter Bunny part of Easter on Saturday.  On Sunday we focus on the true meaning of Easter.  This Saturday was no exception. The Easter Bunny found our house and left some prizes and treats for the kids. After our errands we came home and David hid all of the eggs in the back yard.  There were 48 eggs...three of them were money prizes.  The kids had a great time searching for all of the eggs.  I think it only took about 5 minutes for them to find all of the eggs and start eating their stash.  The funny thing is Andrew got two of the big eggs and Nate got one.  It was hard for Morgan to grasp that she didn't make any money on the hunt.  She tried to negotiate with Drew for most of the day to get a money egg.  Kinda funny 'cuz Drew knew he had the power to make a deal (which he didn't do).
During the hunt.  Side note:  I can't wait to plant my garden next week.  I need to get that soil ready!

Paisley was looking for eggs too.

Everyone is happy the hunt is over. (This is before Morgan realized she didn't make any money)

The booty.  I kinda want those Swedish Fish right now.

Petting Zoo

We love spending Saturday together as a family.  We are either playing or working together but it's also a lot of fun.  This Saturday we got up early, went to Nate's recital, picked up our Bountiful Basket and then we wanted to get a couple big rocks for the yard.  At the rock yard there was a petting zoo.  Of course we had to stop and pet all of the cute animals.  The kids especially loved holding the baby chicks.  Nothing says spring like baby animals.  Happy spring to you!

Recital

Nate had a piano recital on Saturday.  He was excited to show off his talent.  The piece he played was Merry March by Cornelius Gerlitt.  I love that he's learning to play the piano.  There is something about a man that knows how to play the piano.  The first time David played for me I knew I was in love.

Rebel Dog

So this is what Paisley does when he thinks we're gone.  Takes a little smoking break!

Pruned

We did a little pruning Saturday

We cut a lot of branches from our trees so they can grow nice and pretty this summer.

My kids and their friends made a fort.  I thought it was ingenious.
I'm so glad the weather is warming up!
