Wedding Anniversary

My honey and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary.  Although it was in the middle of the week, we still managed to go out to dinner and David set up a 90 minute couple's massage.  It was wonderful.  These past 15 years have been amazing and incredible.  I lush you honey.

Okay, now that the mushy stuff is out of the way, I have to share with you our anniversary last year.  Nathan and Morgan threw a "surprise anniversary party" for us.  The only problem is they only invited one couple that already had plans that night.  Slight glitch.  Other than that, they laid out the clothes they wanted us to wear (David's were in the garage on the treadmill...he couldn't come in the house until his clothes were changed). 

They sat us at our table and we enjoyed a little small talk (with 3 kids listening to everything we said).

   

They handed us a menu they prepared for the evening.

 

Nate had a towel over his arm and stood nearby just in case we needed him.

   

Our special anniversary dessert.  How did they think of this?  Ice cream with red and pink sprinkles and cookies cut into a heart.

  

It was a perfect night.  My kiddos are so thoughtful and creative.

If we play our cards right we might get this treatment again next year.  Fingers crossed.

I got a new cell phone.  A smart phone.  An Android phone.  A G4...It is the G2X by T-mobile.  I am a little smitten.  I downloaded a photo app called Vignette (its free) and I've been playing with it ever since.  Take a look at a few of my weekend photos. Oh, and Angry Birds is addictive.  FYI

This sign was taped to our door when we woke up this morning.  Apparently there were birds making a nest right outside and our boy didn't want us to disturb them.

Fiesta!

 

Our family celebrated Cinco de Mayo a little early this year.  We're trying to channel Puerto Vallarta. We were there exactly one year ago and we miss it.  Fingers crossed we'll go again. 

 

Petting Zoo

We love spending Saturday together as a family.  We are either playing or working together but it's also a lot of fun.  This Saturday we got up early, went to Nate's recital, picked up our Bountiful Basket and then we wanted to get a couple big rocks for the yard.  At the rock yard there was a petting zoo.  Of course we had to stop and pet all of the cute animals.  The kids especially loved holding the baby chicks.  Nothing says spring like baby animals.  Happy spring to you!

 

Spring Break

We are doing it...we're going on a road trip.  The Nintendos have been charged, the CD's picked out and bags packed. The route has been plotted on our map and the kids have their "seat" picked out.  We've been craving warmth and sun; frozen custard and burnt shoulders.  We're driving down south in hopes to get a taste of what we crave.  Wish us luck!

Growing Family

We  just got our family photos.  These are the people I love more than anything in the world.  

My kids are getting so big...and I'm getting so old.

Andrew is 4 now and not my baby any more.

Parent's 50th

My parents recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We organized a nice dinner and tribute to them. What fun we had leaving the kids at home and spending the evening with my siblings and their spouses. Thanks mom and dad for sticking it out through thick and thin and giving us a great legacy to live up to... and snaps to my siblings and their spouses for being one in a million. xoxo
